WHY ALT123?
The key ALT combined with the numeric sequence 123 is a shortcut to produce the opening curly bracket in Windows.
I'm curly and I like the idea to use a curly punctuation sign.
I chose the opening one because I love the openings and starting new things.
It's also something that I use quite often while I code: it saves me from the acrobatic combination of "Alt Gr" + "Shift" + "[" on my notebook...
05 Nov, 2007 Just launched my Blog: it will substitute this page soon
Finally I created my blog: www.gantico.com/blog/. After a couple of years without updating this page I decided it was really time for doing something new. I opted for a blog because I wanted a space for news about my projects, but also for writing tutorials, reviews, tests or just my reflections and for exchanging ideas or point of views through comments.
I took advantage of this change for moving my on-line presence from www.alt123.com (that will be discontinued in a near future) to www.gantico.com (that is going to be my reference for the rest of my life!).

The final episode of The Cyber Crew comedy has been published on cyberpen.it. Now all the 8 episodes are viewable on-line in the Movie section, but don't miss also Sign, Contest and the others {broadband connection required}.
It was very exciting being involved in the postproduction, from green screen to After Effects, and in the Flash development.

13 April, 2005 Industreal.it updated with a new exhibition: Model Ideas
Industreal.it was relaunched in occasion of the exhibition "Model Ideas" opening, during the Salone internazionale del Mobile 2005. This is the second release for the site born with the exhibition "In dust we trust".
The new interface is now a bit simplified {no more animated - visual sorting like in intentionallities by Yugop} but I finally took advantage of using Flash at full browser size.

I was selected by Adobe Italia in 2004 as a "Guru" for their Video Collection. I started with the training and finally I got the first certification in After Effects. This collaboration is giving me a great motivation for going further with my passion in motion graphics and video.

A video commercial was realized for Stuart Weitzman, the american fashion designer "obsessed by shoes", in order to be displayed in Venice during the international Film Festival.
I created the motion graphics starting from the print campaign. Concept & Art direction: Brainframe+Twirl, Music: Emanuele Tomasi, Pre-production: Masato Furusawa.

Accademia Disney is the international school based in Milan, "created to ensure high artistic quality in Disney artwork and to experiment with innovative, avant-garde techniques".
Making a website for a such unique reality was a fascinating challenge. I was asked by Grey Interactive to develop the Flash site very close to their original layouts.

09 July, 2004 MovieClip tweening prototypes: a great way to animate
Some time ago I was developing SimpleFadeColor&Alpha, but finally I came across Ladislav Zigo's prototypes. They enabled me to develop entire Flash projects, like industreal.it, without even a single timeline tweening. I simply love them.

The CD-Rom Eni Cambia won the second prize, in the multimedia section, of Premio Mario Bellavista, "Targa d'oro della comunicazione pubblicitaria - XIX° edizione". The video clip " Bella gente", myade with Masato Furusawa, won the third prize "Pinnacle Studio d'Or", a contest with the theme "free and funny".

My color fragmenter experiment, the visual experiment that you can see in this page's header, it's no more just a silent screensaver. The new release 1.1 has also disordered sounds, thanks to Emanuele Tomasi, and a funny interaction: you can play with the color fragmentation.

Site of the day Jan-6-2004, was selected by Macromedia.com for its Flash Video Gallery. I collaborated with the European Space Agency team to develop the interface and to create the multimedia format in summer 2003. Nicely it's still used by ESA and showcased by Macromedia.com.
